There are three companies that offer cruises around Matsushima Bay: Matsushima Shimameguri Kankosen and New Matsushima Kankosen, both providing cruises around Matsushima Bay, and Marubun Matsushima Kisen, which offers cruises around Matsushima Bay and between Matsushima and Shiogama. We recommend cruising around beautiful Matshushima Bay on a sunny day.

  Barrier-free Information

  ・All three companies are wheelchair accessible. However, none of the ships have elevators, so you will be seated on the first floor. Marubun Matsushima Kisen has three "barrier-free boats.” ・The Matsushima round-the-bay courses are very crowded on weekends and holidays, so reservations are recommended. The Shiogama courses are usually not crowded since they are taken by people sightseeing in Matsushima and Shiogama, making them popular among overseas guests. ​・At the Matsushima Town Ticket Office, Matsushima Shimameguri Kankosen does not accept credit cards, but Marubun Matsushima Kisen does. The Shiogama Marine Gate ticket office only sells Marubun Matsushima Kisen tickets, so credit cards are accepted. ・There are wheelchair-accessible restrooms in both Matsushima and Shiogama. ​
