Shiwahiko Shrine/Shiogama Shrine, with over 1,200 years of history, has the main hall, worship hall, stone torii gate, and other structures designated as Important Cultural Properties. It features the nationally recognized 'Shiogama-zakura' cherry trees, along with other plants, providing visitors with beautiful scenery throughout the seasons. There are 202 steps on the main approach so it is not recommended for those with walking difficulties. Please see below for information in English.

・The area overlooking the garden is paved with asphalt and gravel.
・There are 5-6 stone steps in front of Shiwahiko Shrine's precincts.
・The main shrine can be seen from below the stairs. There are many steep staircases and comfortable shoes with a nonslip sole are recommended.
・At Shiogama Shrine, there is a steep slope at the back entrance of the horse stable, leading to the purification waiting area and to the main shrine. However, the slope has large gravel which can be dangerous for wheelchair users. Some have given up after seeing it.
